" The second day Isa, Caro and
me met for the first step in our new life: find a house. The job
was made much easier thanks to the active help of our host families
who were making the phone calls for us and taking time off their
work to take us to visit some possible houses, while giving us tons
of advice (thanks again!). Despite all of this, we needed two weeks
to find the BookBin, the last opportunity just accross the university.
<< Above: My host family, Roberta and Michael,
who put me up for almost 3 weeks when we arrived in Corvallis.
<< Left: A "fraternity" (frat in short),
a student house for boys exclusively (girls go in "sororities").
Each fraternity is different and students pick theirs according
to common values. Each fraternity or sorority has a name in greek
letters (on the photo: Pi Kappa Phi). Unfortunately, the "greek
community" is not appreciated by everybody.
