Change of life
Yesterday was a weird day. It was rainy and dark, and suddenly I felt really lost : all those changes in such a short time, apartment, job, and even the trip to Colombia which really disorientated me, I felt I had been thrown into another life. Already tired, I spent the day in the empty studio apartment in Paris’ 15th arrondissement (I had to clean it and I could still connect to Internet there) in a very weird mood.
This morning is different. I went to karate yesterday night and like each time, it made me peachy and it straightened me into my boots! (this is an extremely bad literal translation) This morning the living room was flooded with sunshine, Pete and I straightened up a couple boxes and built up a couple pieces of furniture… the apartment is superb, and I really feel good about it.
Today again I am going to the studio to finish cleaning it up and work on a couple of administrative papers. Tomorrow we turn in the keys. Tomorrow evening our friend Matmat comes visiting and tests the home as our very first guest. Thursday night we’ll go out again with Matmat and Xavier. Friday night I have a “pizza party” with the karate people. Saturday night Pete’s cousins arrive in France for 5 days… and in the meantime we need to unpack all the boxes and probably go buy some furniture. No time to feel “weird” anymore, I’d better be peachy ! Those are big days, and I love it !
