C’est vraiment triste à lire, mais je ne peux qu’être d’accord après le mois de pluie et de vent que nous venons de passer à Paris (et ça continue, aujourd’hui il pleut des cordes).

“Graves inondations en Grande-Bretagne, au Pakistan, en Afghanistan et en Inde la semaine dernière. Les températures en Grèce ont atteint 46°C cette semaine, et témoigne d’une vague de chaleur en Europe méridionale. La Chine a également essuyé une vague de chaleur ces jours-ci. Des pluies torrentielles s’abattent sur certaines régions du Texas, où la ville d’Austin se prépare à battre son record d’année la plus pluvieuse.”

I have found this article on Digg.com :

It takes 30-plus turbines to reach a kill rate of one bird per year. However you look at it, though, birds in the United States seem to die in turbine blades at a rate no higher than 40,000 a year. Deaths by dastardly domestic felines, on the other hand, number in the “hundreds of millions.” One less reason not to consider wind.
